Description
David Cole and Peter Erickson are the founders and co-owners of Epic Brewing Company. Cole and Erickson, originally from California, started an international aquaculture company in Utah in 1992. In 2008, Utah law changed allowing these two entrepreneurs to pursue their longtime dream of opening a strong beer microbrewery in Utah, like those they frequented in the Golden State.
Admittedly, beer geeks, foodies, and "Epic" adventure junkies, share a passion for making and drinking fine ales and lagers. The Epic team has a strong belief in doing everything "all out."

Bomber @ HJ Hansen, Odense. Pours blacl with a small creamy head. Candybar, almond, vanilla and Wood. Sweet and syrupy. Hoped for some barrel and beer integrity but just sweet and adjuncty nuances.

355ml can. Cloudy, yellow-ish golden colour with small to average, frothy, collapsing, white head. Citrusy fruity aroma, notes of lemon and lime. Taste is tart, dry, slightly zesty, citrusy fruity, notes of lemon and lime. Watery texture, slightly astringent palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Simple, monotonous, refreshing - OK.

On tap at Belmont Station Bier Cafe, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is loaded with intense mint, chocolate and bourbon in good balance. Flavour is dominated by the boozy bourbon and intense mint upfront, accentuated by a bit of chocolate. Minty, chocolatey, and boozy finish. Definitely not my favourite BBB, as chocolate mint isn't my favourite, but it's well-made.

Taster at the Denver taproom - 2019 vintage - turbid amber - despite its age and the barrel treatment, it is still quite hoppy and bitter - some nice treacle, sherry, and caramelized barleywine qualities, along with moderate whiskey, but the bitterness makes these less prominent and harder to enjoy - bitterness integrates a little better as it warms, but I’d like more balance between the two extremes.

Pint at Denver taproom - clear gold - starts with moderately sweet malt richness before drying out, becoming moderate bitter, and lightly grainy - tiny bit of bright fruitiness in the back - mostly clean - it’s fine.
