Description
David Cole and Peter Erickson are the founders and co-owners of Epic Brewing Company. Cole and Erickson, originally from California, started an international aquaculture company in Utah in 1992. In 2008, Utah law changed allowing these two entrepreneurs to pursue their longtime dream of opening a strong beer microbrewery in Utah, like those they frequented in the Golden State.
Admittedly, beer geeks, foodies, and "Epic" adventure junkies, share a passion for making and drinking fine ales and lagers. The Epic team has a strong belief in doing everything "all out."

Can, Pivoljub. Quite clear yellow golden, smaller white head, not too lasting. Nice sweet fruity nose, prachy, tropical and citrusy - nice. Moderate bitterness, A bit citric, dry and tart in the finish. LAsting bittery aftertaste. Lighter body. Nice.

Can, thanks Hrabren and Dina for sharing this with us! Epic Son of a Baptist with Rotating Artisanal coffee. Which one? Who knows... Pitch black body, tan head - quite lasting. Pungent, strong coffee aroma, creamy chocolate, quite pleasant. Coffee and chocolate taste, a bit earthy, very dusty somehow, light light light soft tartness. Bitter finish. Didn't seem that fresh, but showed big potential.

Draft. A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, exotic fruits, and hops. The flavor is sour with notes of grapefruit, lemons, brett, hops, and flowers, leading to a tart finish.

Soft and smooth, fairly rich taste wise but quite thin. Flavour is good, though, with a nice amount of chocolate, some light roast and plenty of both coconut and coffee. Not sure where all those barrels ended up, but can't have it all, apparently.

16oz can picked up at the brewery. Pours slightly cloudy golden with a medium sized white head, good lacing. Lime, biscuity, vanilla, salt, bitter finish. Decent but I wouldn't want another one.

22 oz. Bottle. 2021 vintage, release #1 at 11.6% ABV. Served at cellar temperature. Aroma is enormous raspberry and blackberry! Flavor follows with traces of chocolate and coffee. The berries linger throughout the entire sip. Great texture. Really nice depth of flavor even if it is heavy on berry.

22 oz. Bottle. 2021 vintage, release #1 at 12.9% ABV. Aroma has a soft mint with dark chocolate. The mint in the flavor isn’t overbearing but the chocolate does seem to fight for attention. Again, good body and texture. Certainly above average.
