David Cole and Peter Erickson are the founders and co-owners of Epic Brewing Company. Cole and Erickson, originally from California, started an international aquaculture company in Utah in 1992. In 2008, Utah law changed allowing these two entrepreneurs to pursue their longtime dream of opening a strong beer microbrewery in Utah, like those they frequented in the Golden State.
Admittedly, beer geeks, foodies, and "Epic" adventure junkies, share a passion for making and drinking fine ales and lagers. The Epic team has a strong belief in doing everything "all out."

5oz pour on a flight at The Brewhouse, San Juan Capistrano on 1st February 2022. Very dark with a deeply tanned head. Loads of chocolate and peanut butter aromas and flavours in this one. It's name doesn't lie!

Can from the Brewer’s Haven, December 2021. Finally got my hands on this and in 12oz can nonetheless! Dark brown color with a thick brown head. Full aroma of espresso, roast, and cocoa, light whiskey barrel notes. The barrel notes come out in the taste; sweet and smooth to compliment the coffee and roast. Excellent beer, need to my hands on more.

Bottle, 650 ml at Ambasada. Courtesy of Tomi. Black with brownish head. Nice peanut aroma, chocolate, cocoa, easy drinkable. Bit thin in finish.

Bomber from Homebrewstuff. Black pour, a few beige bubbles. Jam like aromas, berries, chocolate. Berries dominate the taste too, raspberries first. Chocolate remains in the background, light roastiness. Sweet and not overly strong.

Bought at Liquor Shed in Casper. Bottling..Den 9042, 2nd release.

It pours pitch black with a short lived head of tan foam, not bad with the lacing.

The smell is whiskey, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, a definite sweetness aboot it.

Pretty balanced taste. Whiskey, roasted malt, vanilla and cocoa, some coffee which I get mostly in the finish. Not overly sweet at all, which is a plus. Alcohol is there but I wouldn't call it hot.

Fullish mouthfeel, creamy.

Very good.

22oz bottle pours out black with some red highlights topped with a tan head. Nose is nice sweet chocolate covered berries and some jammy notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet berries covered in chocolate.

Black colour, dark brown colour. Aroma of roasted malts, dust, spirit. Good body strength, moderate sweetness, dark chocolate, cacao, dust, cinnamon, spices, and spirit.

I am a long time between Epic beers. My son found this bomber in Houston and brought it to me. The label indicates a 11.3% abv, just to pass along. Tilted into a globe glass, I see a black-brown liquid topped by a thin skim of dark tan foam. I lift for a sniff and get chocolate, spiciness of some kind and grain. I take a drink, it tastes like Mexican chocolate cake. Cinnamon, dark chocolate, malt, dark bread, vanilla and a touch of dark plum. An aura of booze surrounds. Not bad but sometimes less can be more.
