On tap at VCBW Festival 2017, pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops upfront, with a fair dank character and a dry biscuity malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with dank, piney hops, and dry biscuity malt to back. Nicely balanced, with a dry piney hop character. Solid.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2017, pours a cloudy yellowish blonde with barely any head. Aroma brings out subdued peaches, stone fruit pith and light lacto. Flavour is yogurty, with fuzzy peaches, lacto and light citrus. Cloudy and muffled, yet fairly bright. Not a good example of the style.

Hazy blond color. The malt is delicate and quite crisp, the hopping is mildly juicy, itβs piney, and very lightly dank. Good alcohol management too.
Good.

On tap at Callister, pours a clear copper golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out soapy, floral hops upfront, and with crackery, grainy malts. Flavour is similar, with floral and piney hops, some earthy notes and grainy character on the underside that lingers. This one has a strange hop character to it that is almost reminiscent of manure. Okay overall.

Slightest haze, light tan colour, thin head. Aroma is earthy with a mellow hop fruitiness. This has a soft, peachy, almost overripe fruit like one of those cloudy IPAs but in more of a presentation like an IPA from a decade ago. I think one of the better Lightheart brews.

Dark amber-brown. No head. Mild chocolate nose, but not offering much nuance. Sweet, cocoa, again not much nuance. That really is an issue with the base beer, a flat lifeless porter that even a hit of coffee roast and chocolate syrup canβt save.

Draft - Mellow cold pressed coffee, deep clear Amber with a small head. Light coffe, touch of sweetness and a long finish. Just basic light coffee and not much else.

On tap at Callister, pours a hazy dark mahogany with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out lightly toasted malt, plenty of coffee and almost a tart red fruitiness. Flavour follows accordingly, with coffee, red fruits and toasted malt. Low carbonation but it's suitable. Not the most complex beer, but everything is integrated reasonably enough. Palate is flat, which makes it more lifeless than it should be. Okay.

The color is dark, near black, no head. Very light generic coffee aroma, old Danish bar the morning after, drunk DTES breath. The body is less strong than expected, while the alcohol feeling is too evident; anonymous malt base, old coffee dredges, and a high level of acidity that has no place here.
Messy and not too pleasant; I was hoping for something better, but Lightheart is still Lightheart.
