Tap at CBFZ 2016. Beautiful raspberry over more citric aroma, tart and lively. Light body, fruity until the very end. Juicy. Short finish. Well done!

Tap at CBFZ 2016. The sourness and the stout are noticeable in the aroma already: Burnt, some chocolate, little coffee, and those Bretts. Mouth is basically sour only, with some salt, and an acidic palate. Works, but it is unusual.

Tap at CBFZ 2016. Light tartness and acidity, smooth and soft, light body. Little farmhouse. Highly refreshing and drinkable, only a little sticky on the palate. Nice.

Bottle from Beers’n’more. Lots of elderflower over an incredibly sour Weisse. Impressive flavour for such an ABV. Is overly dominated by pinchy sourness and lacticity, making the whole thing one-sided.

draught at erzbierschof a while back, uploading now. Dark orange color with hardly any head. Lots of juniper berries in the aroma, maybe some other more exotic fruits. Taste is intensely sweet with the berries, ripe fruits in the aftertaste. Sticky. Something very special.

Gushing bottle. Dark brown color, huge frothy head. Chocolatey beer with a huge amount of spruce tips, resiny, artificial. Not good.

Brown color with huuuge beige head. Overfoaming immediately. Nice lacing soon. Very ethereal smell, like forest oils, resin. Forest forest forest (well, what do you expect when it’s brewed with spruces). Taste is more oily ethereal forest feeling, gingery. Earthy finish. Very full-bodied, it also tastes very strong. Fine perlage. This is very interesting, but I’m not sure if I really like it. Nonetheless, well-brewed. I guess this would be a fine brew for sipping after a long hike.

Pours a completely hazy dark amber/light brown color, topped with lots of lasting off-white head. Very pleasant citrusy aroma, some other fruits as well. Taste starts slightly fruity, but immediately hoppy bitterness kicks in - strong one. Some spices and fruity notes in the aftertaste. Pretty decent and strong.

Pitch black color, small head, a few big bubbles; thick. Nice aroma, roasted malts with a delicate woody and vanilla component. Strong body; round mouthfeel; strong flavor of roasted malt, dark caramel, with moderate residual sweetness; it has a bit too much liquorice for my taste, but also a light vanilla drop; correct bitterness level; warming alcohol.
Very good; American take.
