Dull, tan. Bubbly head. The bourbon barrel is pretty pronounced on the nose. On the palate, the bourbon is pretty pronounced, lots of sugar, some vague hops - bitterness is there but it's kind of drowned out by the bourbon. Alcohol is fairly strong. It's not bad, but not super composed. More like a big, fun, mess.

22 oz. bottle, pours a murky brownish orange with a small off-white head. Aroma reveals lots of whiskey barrels, lots of caramel malts, and resinous hops. Flavour is very boozy, with tons of whiskey, alcohol, subdued resinous hops, and caramel malts. Very hot and messy. It's not offensive, but it's harsh and messy.

Draft 9 oz pour at The Brewmaster’s Taproom, Renton. A golden orange pour with a thin fizz head. What are creamy, unique beer this is. B shortage on whiskey barrel notes. Big nose.of whiskey, and it buries everything else. Flavor has a ton of barrel as well, but some sweet malt and hop impressions to come through. A bit of a vanilla wafer as well. Tastes much more.like a Barleywine than an IPA. Smooth flavor all throughout though. Interesting, and pretty good.

Has a syrupy note, and a lot of orangey hops. It’s an okay example of the style but isn’t standing out.

Draft pour at Rooftop, Seattle. Fun to try the non barrel aged version, a long time later. A hazy copper pour with almost no head. Plum in there. I think. Honestly, unidentifiable fruit, fermented. Strange odd, but not terrible. Never had anything like it. Overly sweet n. Boozy, but at 12.2% I can understand. Weird. Pass.

Bomber from Tavour shared by my daughter. Nose is oatmeal, honey, and floral hops. Murky amber with a very small off white head. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter, with a malty caramel background.

Draft pour pint at Stout, Seattle. Hazy orange pour with a patchy fizz head. Straw like aroma, singular. Pils malt, soft hops. Creamy body, orange fruit flavor, but light. Bitter hop finish, but has an odd sweetness to it throughout. Not bad, but a sipper of an IPA for me.

On tap at Chuck's on 85th, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops upfront, along with biscuity malt. Flavour is quite harsh, with herbal hops and dry biscuity malt. Harsh and astringent. Not well-balanced or constructed well at all.

Amber-brown colour, with not much head. Has a toasty barrel character, touch of vanilla, I actually do not get a ton of quad, Sweet, a bit of quad fruitiness, lots of vanilla. Tastes ok, though not with much character.
