Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, small beige head. arry nose with licorice and treacle. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Peaty smoke, tar, licorice and treacle. Warming bitter finish. Really solid brew.

500ml can. (Probably) clear, dark chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and small to average, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, dark beige to tan head. Minimally sugary, caramel malty and minimally smoky aroma, notes of malt lozenge, caramel, a touch of rock sugar, dark toffee. Taste is dark and caramel malty, minimally smoky and mildly bitter hoppy, notes of malt lozenge, some toffee, caramel, a weak, smoky touch of tomato based barbecue sauce, some residual sweetness, addtionally a very weak touch of brown sugar.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, medium, soft to flat carbonation.
Quite sugary, not overly smoky - so-so.

Thanks fonefan! Blackish, but deep copper colour with a small off white head. Aroma is rather toasted and smoked with some wooden tones. Flavour is toasted, some tar and mild sweet malts along with some honey and late toasted tones. Warm and sweet, this one is a gem.
