Tap at TAPS in KL. Hazy dark orange amber pour with frothy white head. Aroma is dank resin hops with a lot of cereal malt. Taste is strong resinous hop bitterness with a defined astringent quality. Really deep dank bitterness. Palate is slightly thicker than normal perhaps because of the heavily malted nature. Lasting biting bitterness with a nice boozy warmth on the finish. Much better than the voo doo stout from the same brewery. Nothing to stand out but a solid resinous west coast DIPA.

Tap at TAPS in KL after a week at Cherengin. Pitch black pour with tan head. Aroma is all roasted malt - some chocolate too. Not that exciting. Taste follows. One note of pretty deeply roasted malt, bitterness is more dark chocolate than hops. Palate is ever so slightly sticky. Pretty boring actually. Not bad but all in one direction and not one that I like that much.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Mont Kiara. Poured a clear dark brown with a round frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, chocolate, light dry coffee. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, light sweet with a big rich smooth alcoholic malt liqourice palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Just like an impy stout should be.

Bottled.Ambery copper colour with a big fluffy head. Aroma is fruity, nectary and sweet caramel and toffee malty notes. Flavour is similar, along with a nice grassy and herbal take to it. Fresh and quite easy to drink.

Bottle. Clear golden body with a short-lived head. Low carbonation. Very little lacing. Aroma of cereal, earth and lemon. Flavour of sweetcorn, lemon biscuits and a touch of honey. Thin body with a watery texture. Light fizz. Clean and easy drinking.
