Description
Founded in 2012, Cloud 9 Brewery is a nanopub concept featuring locally sourced and organic components in both the brewery and restaurant.
With an emphasis on creative brewing, Cloud 9 is situated in a unique place in the market. Instead of having the exact same line-up from month to month, the beers on-tap at Cloud 9 change as soon as the last drop from the previous batch has been poured. With so many taps, and only 6 year-round beers, the variety is truly amazing.
Cloud 9 also features a unique feedback process by which we judge what beer-drinkers actually think. We collate and analyze the input and use that to shape the direction of the next batch. In this way the community is involved in the brewing process from concept to the final foamy pint.
A commitment to quality, service and genuine interest in our community make Cloud 9 Brewery the place for beer aficionados, foodies, and everyone who enjoys fresh and unique culinary creations.

Draft at Cloud 9. Dark golden, clear, small creamy head, curtains of lacing. Aroma is really subdued, some malty notes. Taste comes roaring in with full caramel flavors a bit of sweetness, with dry bitterness at the finish. 6.5% as a sessionable beer? Hmmmm

On tap at the Boise NB. Cloudy pale light yellow. Soapy clingy white head and lacing. Prominent Belgian yeast notes in the aroma and flavor. A fair IBU hit that kind of cleans out the palate at the end. Nice flavors and a good beer

Draft at brewery. Dark brown, near black pour. Thin, weak head. Aroma doesnt give much away, almost nonexistent. Taste adds minor sweetness and vanilla, and the base roast malts are kind of weak too. Not much too this.

Draft at brewpub. Hazy golden, small skin of head. Not your typical Scottish. Light malty, grainy aroma. Taste follows with a hint if earthy, grassy meadow notes. Not a sign of the normal peaty, tobacco flavors . More like a regular ale) lager. Jury's out on this one.

Draft at brewery. Clear amber, small spotty head. Light, toasty, malty aroma. Malts come up bigger in the taste, not bitter, not sweet. Right where it needs to be, on point for the style. Rare style too...
