On Tap at the brewery A modest snifter pour in for $5.50 Deep hazy redish amber. Not much of a head but nice hefty ring of lacing. Bug resinous and sweet caramel malt aromas. Double IPA or Barley Wine possibly. Flavors were much more mundane. Woody and husky with an odd toasted note. Some chemically flavors and a strange old dusty bitterness at the end. I like that the are going big on this with their rather limited tap selection early on. I’m hoping for better with later winter seasonals.

On Tap at the Brewery. rather hazy dingy light yellow. Full foamy robust and chunky off white head. Hoppy and bitter for the style I think. Pale light malt but still more a vehicle for the IBUs. A good beer I think, and "lighter" yes, just quite robust and bitter.

On tap at the BP opening night. Dark smooth and plenty roasty . Not a lot of character or complexity but solid and easy. Excited tones what they come out with later.

On tap at the brewery, opening night. Dark copper pour, light frothy head. Malt dominates, with some hops that linger and come out, but some acidity dampers the whole thing. Rerate 9/3/17. Less acidity. More tannic.

Taste is more of the heavy cereal malt a big grapefruit pithy bitterness. This is not close to a pilsner. Wow this is not a good beer to open with.
