On tap at Gruff, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a large cascading tan head. Aroma brings out lots of oats upfront, with subdued roast and coffee. Flavour is very smooth, with a nice character of oats, roasted malt and espresso. Low bitterness and smooth all round. A cohesive and robust Irish stout. Very good.

Hazy amber. Biscuity, with a toasty back note. Earthy hops...good balance.

Cloudy, big piney, grapefruity, very much like grapefruit juice with just a touch of crystal malt chewiness...perfectly balanced.

Nitro, at the brewery, where it was called "Nitro Stout". Light brown. Toasty nose, sweet, some fudgey notes. Lightish body.

Touch of purple from the blackberry, lots of sage and blackberry on the nose as well. Dry, very sagey, body is quite light, with a crackery, biscuity malt backbone.

Golden-amber. Caramelly nose, fresh malts. Sweeter caramel taste, has a good balance.

Has an amber colour, bright, with fresh malts. Some phenols on the palate, expressing as burnt astringent rubber.

Golden-tan. No head. Has a light fruitiness, hint of lacto, on the palate it has overripe fruit, some stickier malts...not liking the balance much here.

Hazy, amber-brown, no head. Acetic nose with woody notes. Has some brown sugar sweetness, light tartness, the wood still shows through a lot, but the acetic doesn’t.

On tap at Gruff, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma has all sorts of strange notes, with cabbage and herbal notes. Flavour isn't quite as offensive but is still off, with herbal notes, biscuity malt and some boiled vegetables. No good.
