On tap at St. Augustine's, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out subdued dry cocoa and light oats. Flavour is a bit metallic, with oats, subdued dry cocoa and biscuity malt. Thin but pleasant enough. One of the best Barley Mill beers, which isn't saying much.

On tap at Barley Mill Pub, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, not much else. Flavour is very bland, with toasted malt dominating, with a fairly sharp astringency on the finish. Not very clean or easy drinking. Bad.

On tap at Barley Mill Pub, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma mad flavour are stale, with herbal and biscuity notes, and some definite infected notes (DMS). Very bad.

On tap at Barley Mill Pub, pours a clear yellow with a small white head, served with a lime wedge (lol). Aroma is more or less bland other than lime. Flavour is even blander than the classic genuine draft. Tastes like nothing. Pointless creation, but at least clean.

Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 3 | Flavor - 3 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 2.5

On tap at Barley Mill Pub, pours a clear piss yellow with a large white head. Aroma is crisp and clean, with straw and biscuity malt. Flavour is basically indistinguishable from a macro lager, with notes of straw, corn and dry biscuity notes. Clean and easy to drink, but it's basically an industrial lager. What more needs to be said?

Draught at the brewpub
Pale blond color, with creamy head. The aroma is corn-ish, but also a bit crispy. The flavor is mild, with light cereals, and low bitterness. Very simple.

Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy blond color, with creamy head; unfortunately served with a lemon wedge. No aroma; dry mouthfeel, almost with no flavor, and a trace of wheat; ordinary bitterness. Poor.
