A nice porter, good full body, nice complexity. Smooth. Not quite classically bold. Decent in stlye prairie sun sk. 3.6 dec 21 Tastes worse this year, more like dust.

nicely made beer. Not the best in-style. But the saskatoon berry is in perfect proportion. Pretty cleanly made, so it seems like a recipe adjustment could put it on style and top notch.

Beer by far from Prairie Sun as of yet. Strong and very unique beer, not much else like it, which is tough to do these days in beer. Medium strong sourness, but not so tarty. Medium low roast, but it works perfectly.

On tap at Prairie Sun, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is laid back on the hops, bringing out lots of dusty biscuity malt and straw. Flavour is mostly expressed by the biscuity malt, with light sweetness and some straw. There's some very subtle hoppy bitterness without any discernible hop flavouring. Clean and drinkable, but forgettable.

On tap at Prairie Sun, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out semi-fermented out honey and a little tart citrus. Flavour reveals tart citrus, some lacto, a little vinous character and fermented out honey. Not exactly sure what all is going on here, but it's put together fairly nicely. Does have a bit of a yogurty character on the finish, seeming more like a kettle sour than a saison. All in all, decent.

On tap at Prairie Sun, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Nose is loaded with cinnamon upfront, with a bit of sweet caramel apple pie in the back. Flavour is only gently sweet, with loads of cinnamon upfront, backed again by caramel apple pie. Very pleasant flavouring. Fun stuff.

On tap at Prairie Sun, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is gentle, with some tartness and lacto gently expressed upfront, with soft wheaty notes underneath. Flavour is clean and simple, with subtle lacto and soft wheaty notes characterizing this. Unassuming and forgettable, but without flaws.

The full body of this beer makes it. Mostly clean, a slight ashy flavor in the back. But the fruit is spot on. Prairie Sun saskatoon
