Sample at the taproom during the "Ghost Ship Vortex Baltic Porter 750ml Bottle Release" on 05/14/2016. Clear orange color with a thin bone white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of herbal yeast, fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of fruity yeast, earthy hops and malt. The finish is fruity with a yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

The beer is a slightly hazy orange color with a medium thin white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of yeast, fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of fruity yeast, malt and grassy hops. The finish is fruity with a floral yeast aftertaste. Above average overall.

Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, berries and vanilla. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate-covered raspberry and vanilla. The finish is fruity and malty with a berry aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample from cask at the 13th annual Smokehouse Mini Real Ale Fest on 05/14/2016. Brown-black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of coffee, malt and chocolate. Medium body with a roasty coffee and malt character, with some dark chocolate in the background. The finish is mildly bitter with an espresso aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
