This is the Belgian stout with coffee added. It’s black with a small tan head. The spices are stronger in the aroma than the other version. There’s also coffee, roast malt, and booze. The flavor is spicy and roasty with malt, coffee, chocolate, a little soy sauce, and a boozy, warming finish. Very good. 320 Summit City beers rated, and now they’re closed for good.

Now 5.1% abv. Pours mostly clear gold with minimal head. It has a mild, grainy, perhaps slightly fruity aroma. The flavor is of grainy, bready malt and minimal hops. It’s okay. Nothing to get excited about. It’s kind of bland.

Pours black with a lingering tan head. This smells super spicy like it’s just cinnamon. The flavor is basically a cinnamon bomb. There’s roast malt under there, some maple, soy sauce, chocolate, and some booze but damn, it’s way too much cinnamon. Were they trying to use it all up? It’s okay but I so wish it was better. I’m really bummed to see this place shutting down. Ten years. They’ve made so many beers and I’ve played a hell of a lot of trivia there in the last few years. The beers can’t all be winners, but they’ve made some excellent brew.

Pours black with a small tan head. Smells of roast malt, soy sauce, chocolate, and alcohol. The flavor is of roast malt, soy sauce, chocolate, licorice, and some hops bitterness in the finish. Full bodied and intense, this is a huge imperial stout. I don’t get what’s “Belgian” about it though.

Pours slightly hazy gold with a small white head. It has a hoppy aroma with resin and some earthy notes. The flavor is moderately bitter. Resinous, earthy hops. A little citrus. Medium body.

The latest kettle sour has a pleasant combo of pineapple tartness and sweet peaches. The flavors balance each other well and yield a tasty result.
