Pours near black with a huge tan head that took quite awhile to settle. It smells of roast malt, chocolate, and a little coffee and licorice. The bold flavor is of dark roast malt, chocolate, and coffee. It's well balanced with a low boozy presence and finishes with lasting roast character. Very well done. However I didn't notice any bourbon.

Pours dark brown with a small, light tan head. It has a rich aroma of roast malt and coffee. There's loads of coffee in the flavor blending well with plenty of dark roast malt. Dark roast coffee lingers in the finish. Very good.

Pours clear gold with a small white head. It has a mild aroma of bready malt and a touch of fruit. The flavor has some mild hops bitterness complementing the bready malt and fruity character. It's far from my favorite style, but this is a very tasty kölsch.

Pours lightly hazy gold. It smells of bready malt and spicy yeast. The flavor is sweet and malty, bready with spicy Belgian yeast. It strikes me as surprisingly similar to the Marquette saison. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

tap in Roanoke. Not normally a beer I would seek out - tried with a flight. The intense smokiness was really unique. great beer
