7.4/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 7 Flavor 7 Texture 8 Overall 7.5
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a murky brown color with a bar pour’s thin white foamy head. Slid off pretty quick.
The aroma had the sweet and tartness of the blackberries up front with a little bit of grassy hop bitterness at the end.
The flavor leaned into the sweetness of the blackberries initially and then blended decently to the hops in the aftertaste. Sly crisp sort of sweet to tart finish.
The feel was almost medium bodied, but it did feel a bit under. Pretty sessionable with a smooth crisp feel about it. ABV felt fine.
Overall, fruit beer or IPA? not sure, but this was enjoyable and worthy to have again, whatever it was.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark amber to brown color with a thin off white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had some sweet oats, slight sweet grains, some biscuits, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, light coffee bean, dark fruits, light vanilla and ended with a little bit of earthy hops.
The flavor leaned upon the sweetness of the prior mentioned aromas. Light chocolate to dark fruity and sweet cream-like aftertaste. Same sort of finish.
The feel was about medium bodied, maybe a touch under with a decent sessionability about it. I’d say this was pretty smooth all along my tongue.
Overall, it’s a pretty nice sweet stout showing a bit more balance than some others of it’s style. I’d have this one again.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a semi-transparent burnt amber to almost brown color with some carbonation rising to fill a finger’s worth of a foamy head. Sly lace.
The aroma had some roasted malt up front with some low key nuttiness. Caramel and toffee qualities slide in underneath with a little bit of cocoa powder. Some burnt toast.
The flavor was semi-sweet with a touch of the bitter coming trying to play nicely with the roast. Sly lingering roasty malt in the aftertaste. Quick malty finish.
The feel sat just beneath medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Low carbonation with a nice smoothness about it.
Overall, pretty nice brown ale. I’d say English in style.
