16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 7/2019. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/tart/tangy mangoes, fruit skin, tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, and white bread; with light notes of honey, pepper, pine, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of mangoes, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big juicy/tart/tangy mangoes, fruit skin, tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, and white bread; with light notes of honey, pepper, pine, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; and pine, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy mangoes, fruit skin, tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, white bread, honey, pepper, pine, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of mangoes, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt, bitter, tartness, and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tang/tartness. Light-medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an awesome sour IPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of mangoes, citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Great soft feel and not overly lactic. Feels like Galaxy, Citra, Mosaic. Extremely juicy/jammy fruit/hops and Lacto complexity; lightly dank/earthy; with a clean pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example. Would have preferred a bit more carbonation, but it was still very smooth.
