Clear golden color with a thin whitehead that evaporates quickly to a wispy film. Spotty lace. Wheaty aroma with fruit and malt notes. Light body with flavors of grassy wheat, citrus and biscuit malt. The finish is fruity with a wheaty aftertaste. Decent overall.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 5/23/2018. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an awesome IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Spot on Azacca/El Dorado profile. Lots of tropical/stone fruits. Very juicy, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; sizable malt backbone, but not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and well made Midwest style example.

Sample at Ohio Taproom. The beer is a clear pale golden color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lace. Aroma of mild hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, fruit and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a lightly spicy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.
