Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a caramel-bronze color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tangy with pine and lemon notes. The flavor was tangy, sourish and off with some pine, lemon and pepper. Long finish. Full bodied.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a large creamy tan head that left incredible lacing. The aroma was dry, roasty, woody and had faint fruity hops. The flavor was roasty and toasty with a hint of red meat and faint fruity hops. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a large creamy-foamy brown head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was roasty with cinnamon and honey. The flavor was smokey with cinnamon, almost cedar and an off presence I could not place. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Not good.

The aroma was wheaty with bread crust, toasty malts and faint golden fruit. The flavor was bitterish and malty with toffee, bread crust and faint dark fruits. Nicely complex. Medium length finish. Medium body. Solid.

The flavor was sweet, tangy, yeasty and citric. Turns a bit dry an perfumey at the end. Medium length finish. Medium body. Solid.
