Description
The Landskron Brau-Manufaktur Görlitz was founded in 1869. It is one of the oldest producing industrial monuments in Germany. At Landskron, since 1869 all beers are brewed using traditional fermentation vats according to the traditional brewing tradition and are allowed to mature for a particularly long time in 12-meter-deep vaulted cellars. In contrast to industrial breweries with computer-controlled brewing systems, all beers at Landskron are managed by experienced master brewers by hand.

International Green Week, Berlin 2012: our second day and Hall 21b took us to Sachsen and Nordrhein-Westfalen where I was drawn to a brewery bar selling this beer. 0.3 Litre poured into a lovely glass: light golden body, regular brightness and clarity expected from a good German Pilsner, snow white head on top. The head stayed and produced some good, thick lacing. Hints of hops and malts in the nose; not much, but more than normal for a Pilsner. The refreshing taste had just about the right feel of flavours: hop bitterness and a mild malt sweetness blended together nicely to give a thirst quenching beer. This was one of the best Pilsners I had during my two days at Green Week (I had plenty, believe me).
