LCI, quite nice blackberry jammy refreshingness! They need to order more of this!

LCI. Didn't really remind me of traditional mead but it was nice to start the day with at least.

Amazing! Med-full sweetess; huge juicy/light tart blackberry/floral/citrus. Sweet/light tannic balanced finish. Amazingly smooth/no warming.

Bottle thanks to Tim. Pours a clear copper with no head. The aroma is honey, berry, pomegranate. Thin body, honey, berry, nice booze, good.

Location: Sampled at the Meadery, 1/26/14

Aroma: The aroma is a nice mix of fruity sweetness and jalapeno peppery spice
Appearance: This one has a clear orange pour to it into the wine glass
Flavor: The taste is much the same, sweet, with some honey, fruit, and peppery flavors
Palate: The body is leans to the lighter side, slightly cloying, with an average carbonation
Overall Impression: I loved the gimmick quality of this one. It just struck me the right way. For me, meads aren't my favorite, so giving it a little peppery kick seemed really just about right.

Location: Sampled at the Meadery, 1/26/14

Aroma: The nose is apple and honey, some caramel and vanilla notes
Appearance: This one has a clear orange pour to it into the wine glass
Flavor: The taste is similar, on the sweet side for sure, nice mix of components
Palate: This one had a nice enough feel, its a little sitcky/slippery on the mouth
Overall Impression: This place was about as close to home brewing as you can get and be commercial. It seems like a lot of effort went into crafting this. I'm not a mead expert, but I liked the effort.

Bottle. Pours a dark red and purple hue with large pink head. The aroma is raspberry and grape. Thin mouthfeel with a strong raspberry and grain. Hides alcohol decently, a good mead from Texas Mead Works.

Bottle. Pours with a very lightly hazed, but mostly clear, pale, straw yellow hued body with some light legs. Aromas are a bit waxy and earthy up front. Soil, floral, dirt, bitter. Mild stone fruit notes. Flavors are juicy peaches up front with a grassy, waxy and almost flint like mid with some mild hay, floral, grassy and lightly buttery finish. Lots of canned peach flavors. Still, medium viscosity, somewhat dry with a very low tannin. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours a very deep purple that is clear with no head whatsoever. Aroma is full of blackberries that are slightly tart and are backed by a slightly sweet but dry honey. Flavor starts with sweet black berry but finishes with slightly tart blackberry and a bit of sweet but dry honey. Really nice.
