Description
I started volunteering at Gipsy Hill Brewing company who kindly gave me a chance to help and start learning about the trade. I still remember my very first job. It was February time and I was washing casks out in the cold and rain, thinking what have I got myself into. I’m so glad I stuck with it, hard work but so rewarding. After 5 or so months I then volunteered at Fourpure too who eventually offered me a permanent role and eventually moving into a brewers position. I learnt so much at Fourpure and worked with some amazing people. After a few years I moved to West Sussex where I brewed for Arundel Brewery but deep down I wanted to do my own thing, produce my own beer, start my own journey.

At the beginning of 2018 Little Monster Brewing Company was born. The name came from Brenden’s daughter who he calls affectionately, “my Little Monster”. The name came instantly to Brenden as he wanted to dedicate all that he did to his little girl and the inspiration she gave him.

The name, Little Monster Brewing is fresh, modern and fun. Exactly the approach to the beer he makes.

Can sourced from Beerdome and drunk at home - hazy orange pour with a nice healthy white head. New 🇬🇧 brewery ✅ - Vibrant fruity with lots of apricot, tangerine, papaya, mango, some peachy accents, juicy fruity, medium body, soft sweet malts, light citrus rindy bitterness, solid hoppy finish. Very nice, great first impression.

440ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, snow white head. Tropical fruity, slightly citrusy, hoppy aroma with minimally leafy and cheesy aspects, hints of yuzu, woody pineapple, a touch of durian, a rather unspecific conglomerate of fruity flavours overall. Taste is tropical and citrusy fruity, hoppy, sweet-ish, pale, wheaty and oaty malty, slightly diluted notes of lemon, woody pineapple, a touch of yuzu, melon, lychee, some watery passages, very subtle non-fruity hints of wax, glue, leaves. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium, soft carbonation. Quite watery, rather unique combination of fruity hop flavours - nice.

Can from Hogs Back. Aroma of pineapple with a touch of resin. Hazy orange-yellow. Fluffy white head. Light-medium bitter with a juicy stone fruit streak - I.e sour with underlying sweetness. Amplified sourness into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Undeniably decent but pineapple just isn't my thing. These beers are inspired by Sussex so not sure what the pineapple tasting NEIPA link would be.
