In 1967, Oregon saw fit to boldly declare our beaches free and open to all – our brewery is a tribute to that, and to excellent craft beer and good grub. That's why our motto is "Beaches forever. Beer for everyone." Public Coast Brewing Co. is locally brewed in Cannon Beach, Oregon.

On tap at Loyal Legion - Beaverton, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is very pastrified, with lots of peanut butter and marshmallow, a little cocoa, and dark sugars. Flavour is dominated by the marshmallow and faded PB character (must be PB2 powder), with light vanilla and cocoa. Thankfully not too sweet, but the malts just aren’t that to support the mediocre-quality adjuncts. Nothing egregious, but this is pretty uncoordinated and unrefined.

On tap at Loyal Legion - Beaverton. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Milk chocolate, marshmallows, and peanut butter on the nose. Flavour has stale chocolate bread malts, peanut butter, and marshmallows. On the drier side for a pastry stout, which saves it slightly, but still very little malt base to support these adjuncts. Not great.

16oz can from brewery. Brown pour, clear, fizzy off-white head. Sweet aroma, honey front and center. Taste is light toffee malts, but the sweet honey dominates. If you like honey, you'll love this.

16oz can from brewery. Clear golden pour, bright, small frothy white head. Light hoppy aroma, fruity, citrus, pine. Taste brings stronger hop flavors with an oily feel, mild sweet/fruity notes. A very gentle IPA. I'd have loved to sip this in West Oswald State Park in the old growth forest. Aptly named.
