Creamy tan head stayed on a black still body. Malt, iron & burnt aroma. Full bodied, soft on the front with a tingle on the back. Malt, coal, tar, roasted, tobacco & dark spirit tastes with a light smoky finish. Excellent!

330ml can. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a big, short-lived fizzy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is yeasty, herbal, light grapefruit citrus. The flavour is moderate to light sour, with a light, crisp, light tart citrus, floral hop palate. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation.

Can picked up from Hoptimism Webshop, Loughborough, Leicestershire and consumed at Camping Resort Zugspitze, Grainau, Thursday 11th June 2020. Pours amber good clarity, fruity, hoppy and bitter, could be a good west coast IPA however a little bit of diacetyl rather tarnishing the overall impression.

Keg at Tรธnne, Leicester. Golden and clear, with a small ring of white head and some visible carbonation. Light malty aroma with slight suggestions of white grape. Taste sweet and malt-led, grape and gooseberry notes, some gluey resin, a touch of sweat. The finish is drier with hay and a gentle medicinal character. Heavy carbonation. It's a bit all over the place, but ultimately quite enjoyable.

Gravity cask at the 2020 Leicester Beer Festival. Dark gold with a slight haze and very little head. Light aroma of lime zest, some kiwi. Taste is bittersweet with fruity hop notes disappearing mid-sip to reveal a sweeter biscuity malt base. More bitterness in the finish with gooseberry and lime in the aftertaste. Decent but not exceptional.
