Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a deep clear copper body that supports a nice looking tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet malts, a dab of caramel and then some nice spicy galaxy like hops that deliver spiciness, slight grassiness and then some slim juicy citrus notes. The taste starts with a flash of sweet malts and caramel before it plows into citrusy to piney to kind of a spicy resiny citrus sensation. There is a diacetyl note that seems to pop up from time to time or this is just a mix of malts and caramel malts as I don’t really get any buttery or butterscotch off flavors.

Groundswell IPA #005 poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear copper body that supports a nice looking tan head of foam. The aroma offers up pine hops, slivers of citrus hops and a smidgen of maltiness. The taste gives the tongue a pleasing citrus to pine hop hug. I get a nice mix of grapefruit, tangelo, a bit of pineapple and then this thing slides into a thicket of resiny pine hop goodness. This beer leans right into resiny hops where there are just thin ribbons of malt sweetened citrus hop flavor. Just a tasty IPA,

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a bright clear gold body that supports a white head of foam. The aroma offers up a decent level of citrus hoppiness that has a malty sort of edge to it. The taste is nice and punchy with clementine and tangelo citrus hops that have nice flavor going on but there’s even more in the way of citrus hop bitterness. This is a solid IPA where the modest wheat addition may only be adding a smidgen to the body. The aromatics are limited but I’d do this again.
