(Draft at Akkurat, Stockholm, 16 June 2025) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with red fruit, oak wood, caramel and spices (nutmeg?). Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, raspberries, red fruit, oak wood, brown sugar and cardamom. No bitterness. Mild woody acidity. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Rich, well balanced and harmonious. Very nice.

(Draft at Akkurat, Stockholm, 12 June 2025) Dark red colour with no head. Fruity nose with red berries, cherries and barnyard. Fruity, tart taste with notes of red berries, cherries, almonds, earthy barnyard flavours and a touch of vinegar. Low bitterness. Medium body, dry. Rich, tart, funky and fruity. Very nice.

Flaska. Mycket jäst. Visst fruktighet, typ fikon, viss (belgisk) sötma, lätt lätt kryddighet. Sötsyrligheten är nästan lite godisaktig. Kroppen är stor men den slinker samtidigt bara ner. Små bubblor.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, reddish brown with a smallish, dissipating beige head. Fat, grasy Bamberg smoke totally dominates the aroma. The base beer is surprisingly timid, only medium and quite dry and in my opinion not nearly rich enough to host the fatty smokiness. Slight underlying tarness too - and tar. You have got to love heavily smoked beers to appreciate this. 020725
