Perhaps the most beautiful and remote brewery in the Netherlands!
Traditionally brewed beer as it has been made for hundreds of years.
Bierbrouwerij De Pauw is not a modern beer factory full of measuring and control technology, but an old-fashioned brewery. The only tools are a watch, thermometer and scales. All Pauw beers are top-fermented, unfiltered, unpasteurised and with secondary fermentation in the bottle. We brew various types of special beer in an artisanal way, mostly according to Belgian recipes.

Pours a cloudy yellow with a frothy white head. Weak aroma of wheats, fruits, some honey. This could have been a nice beer, had the aroma been more potent. Disappointing.

Pours a murky brown with a beige head. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, vegetables, some malts. Light sweetness. Somewhat interesting, but not a beer I’ll quickly return to.

Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Fruity aroma of a strong citrus, yeast, wheat and spices, especially coriander. Medium sweetness. Drinkable, somewhat interesting aroma, but not one I’ll quickly return to.

Pours a hazy amber/brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma of malts, spices, raisins, and a very profound presence of anise. This is definitely an interesting brew, but it’s a little too much like cough syrup for my taste.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy blond coloured brew with light bitter taste and very faint hints of honey. Farmlike smell in the start by the way and the beer is somelike watery.

Bottled. Poured reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma is a bunch of spices, sweet malts, mild alcohol as well as some slight toffee. Flavour is also a rich amount of spices, with some yeasty, herbal, alcoholic and sweet malty notes to it.
