16oz can pours a dark gold, white head. Nose is weird, a little plastic, herbs, some melon. Weird melon schnapps on the tongue, plastic, a little straw. Finishes astringent. This is weird from start to finish. 6 4 6 3 11

16oz can from Tavour. Clear golden pour with a fizzy, foamy head. Light grainy aroma, biscuits. Taste is crisp, hint of lemon, bready. The most accurate part is the feel, as it comes across dry, just like Italian pilsners I had in Italy. I think the hard water in Italy causes a unique chalky character which is present in this beer. Well done!

Can. Pours a hazy light yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has earthy citrus and growing mango with a touch of papaya and sweet grain underlying. Flavor has a bit more bitter citrus supported by light mango, papaya and a touch of sweet grains.

50cl bottle pours an opaque, oily black with some ringing beige head. Leggy. Maple perfumes out of the glass, its raw and not syrupy maple, lots of barrel and booze notes, port mostly, some scotch too, dark cocoa, some dried fruits lurking. Flavor has some pencil lead and very dark and dry cocoa powder from the outset, dried fruit comes hard now, dates, prunes, dried blueberry even. There is a little black pepper, but I could be mistaking the alcohol for that. The maple envelopes at the end. Its sweet and luscious. Some port now too and tobacco. Finishes with that sweet, sticky maple but also some booze.
