750ml bottle. Cloudy, dark brown colour with light ruby shimmer and small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty, minimally bready aroma with a touch of cola, malt lozenge, some coffee, coffee surrogate, a touch of pumpernickel. Taste is sweet-ish and tart-ish, roasty dark malty, minimally bready, hints of coffee, pumpernickel, a touch of sorrel, some roasty bitterness, metallic overtones. Watery texture, dry, minimally repellent palate, medium, prickly carbonation. As so many other German Stouts and Porters somehow thin, watery, minimally metallic; feels like the ingredients were not homogeneously mixed and dissolved: 70% pure water and only 30% liquid with taste.

750ml bottle. Slightly milky, yellow-ish golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Pale malty and sour-ish, herbal hoppy aroma, hints of sorrel, thistle, a touch of protein. Taste is crisp, dry, slightly bitter, herbal hoppy and pale malty, minimally fruity, hints of sorrel, thistle, a touch of green apple. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly to lively carbonation. Crisp, refreshing, well hopped with interesting herbal aspects - nice.

Tap at the brewpub. Deep golden in the glass, nice head. Spicy malty aroma. Starts malty-wheaty, more and more spicy-alcoholic. Light sweetish honey touch, not too intense. Spicy-malty finish. Well balanced. Interesting.

Tap at the brewpub. Looks good in the glass, dark brown, small head. Malty roasty aroma. Starts intense roasty-malty, some earthy notes, some stouty hints. Not too intense. Finish well balanced, still fine malty-roasty. Nice!

Tap at the brewpub. Deep golden/copper coloured. Spicy malty aroma. Starts very mild, almost a bit washy, light spicy, some wheaty notes as well. Finish still very mild. Okay, but nothing special.
