Bottle at home. Unclear darker golden color, full sized white head. Smell and taste malts, don't get any hoppiness, but there is an unusual sweetness and herbal-ish-ness to it. Okay body and carbonation.

Bottle shared. Oramgy color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, somewhat fruity, yeasty. Not any bourbon present. Disappointing.

Bottle at home. Huge white foamy head on top of a hazy dusty golden colored beer. Aroma is wheat, lightly citrusy. Flavor is wheat and to me it's in between citrusy and lemongrass with some herbal / spicy notes. Decent body, fizzy carbonation. Okay.

Bottle at home. Dark golden to amber color, clear, huge sized foamy white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, brown candy sugar. Flavor is malts, caramel-ish, brown candy sugar again, softly sweetish. Very nice actually. Thoroughly enjoying this one. Well brewed imo.

My 33 cl bottle was delivered by Belgian Happiness, a timely and appreciated purchase. No previous experience with the brewer, I look forward to a tasting of my favorite style. A globe glass positioned, I make the pour. A vigorous, tawny brown head with lacing possibilities and an amber-black body. Nice nose that gives ripe dark fruit, black raisins and a promise of booziness. I lift for the drink and am not disappointed, distinct entry of prunes and dark cherries followed by vanilla, wheat bread, currants and alcohol. An aggressive presence, full with a small burn, I like that. Not had absinthe before so I am not sure to be tasting that. Still, this is a pleasing version of the favored style, I’d certainly seek this out later.
