Pours a murky, orange-brown, with no head. Aroma is sour orange and chocolate. Flavor is sour orange with chocolate. This is a weird combo--I think a chocolate stout with a touch of orange flavor might be a better idea...

Pours a thick, dark, cola black, with minimal head. Aromas of chocolate, coconut, dark fruits. Flavor is coconut, chocolate, almond, vanilla. Fairly sweet beer, with the occasional floaty bit (coconut? almond?). Mouthfeel might be a bit on the slim side for such a heavy-leaning stout. Still, it tastes pretty good and gets better as it warms.

Pours a hazy, pineapple-gold, with mid-sized head. Aroma is very fruity, with citrus and tropical notes. Flavor follows, along with some slight pine/spruce hop bitterness at the finish. Mouthfeel is pretty soft and full. This is a well-done version of the style.
