500ml bottle bought at a river kiosk in Kiev last summer. Pours a dense, tan head that fades rapidly to a patchy surface. Near-clear, dark ruby body. Aroma of herbal malts. Rugged chocolate malts in flavour added by subdued roastiness and a touch of coriander behind. Short-lived grainy bitterness to the ending. Soft and dry mouthfeel. Unusual and quite alright to drink during a Saturday evening (Tromsø, 14.11.2009).

Pours very dark and foggy, some head, but not much. Smells of coriander, wateriness, maybe some hops in there. Taste is more like a witbier, but the dark colour makes it confusing. Unique and not bad.

Pours with almost no head, has a dark brown-amber look to it. Smell is of faint barley and water. Taste is maltiness, some grains, a lot of fake sweetness in there. I really didn’t fancy this one.

This looks like an overmarketed beverage for sure, with lots of labels on the bottle for winning a car, football (soccer), and so on. Bought at the MegaMarket in Kiev, 500ml bottle. When chilled, pours with absolutely no head, looks like any other pale lager. Has a heavy syrup taste that’s almost like vodka. Blecch.

Pours a foggy yellow with a big head that’s actually sticking around - definitely looks appealing. Smells like wheat beer with lots of coriander and hops. Turns out it is wheat beer (I can’t read cyrillic) - good balance here with grains just showing slightly through the hops, and an okay mouthfeel. It’s a pretty good one and a surprise to find out here in Kiev.

Very average looking brew with a very small head, but it does linger for just a little bit, and the drink has a darker yellow colour. Aroma is of very slight coffee and grains, as well as lots of alcohol. Flavour is mega-syrup and alcohol, very tough to drink, in fact I think this is a drain-pour. Let me take a few more sips......yes, this stuff is nasty.
