Bottle, cheers Stuu666! Pours golden amber with a thin white head. Big resin and pine nose, some grapefruit. Taste is actually quite balanced, not as bitter as expected! Good.

Bottle, cheers Stuu666! Pours dark brown, thin tan head. Popcorn and dark chocolate aromas, dark sugar. Taste has coffee, roasty bitterness, more dark chocolate, really good quality dark chocolate! Some dark fruit notes too. Bitter finish.

Bottle from Beer Hive. Pours clear gold, thin white head. Aromas of wild yeast funk, lemon, light salt. Taste has that light plum fruit note, but you need to seek it out. Saltiness builds down the glass, but with a crisp dry finish. Nice.

Bottle, Cheers Stuu666! Pours clear gold, thin white head. Aromas of a honeyish sweetness, light lemon. Not very pilsner-y. Taste is more citrus, rich mouthfeel, dry finish. Bit odd.

Strange ’imperial Pilsener’ with glutamates added. Orangey blonde with cream white head, malt sweetness, minerals, grainy, subdued fruitiness. Grainy, smooth palate, vaguely sweetish, mineral-like, soft flowery hop bitterness in the finish. Though an interesting concept, I fail to taste anything remotely umami in this - I had expected at least accents of olives, soy sauce or something like that, but the little taste this beer has, has nothing to do with umami (although I doubt if adding such a taste would actually make this beer better). Still: more glutamates next time!

Bottle at Gents Bierfestival Nr 5 Pours blonde, rather clear . Small white head . Smell is fleshy , almost . Taste is bit bitter, grains , sweet-ish notes . A fruity undertone . My first contact with the famous umami taste, and it was a nice one .

Medium but stable yellow-pinkish head over clear orange-copper beer. Coriander, stale honey, old cookies, dried leafy herbs. Oxydized, stale malts, old cookies. Finish has some indifferent bitterness. Very slick, medium bodied at best, lame. Umami is supposed to mean ’delicious’. So?
