clear dark amber, smooth smallish light brown head. spicy cardemom, vanilla dominated aroma, also faint roasted malts, faint dark fruits. spices dominate totally. flavor is spicy, faint sourish fruity, roasted caramelly. this is not one of those danish micros with not much flavor in it, quite a flavorbomb, but the flavors seem to be from added spices, berries etc. not so much from the malts and hops. Still would prefer this one over many of the more boring christmas brews out there.

On tap. Clear orangey brown with an off-white head. Spicy nose with a light anise touch. Quite full-bodied, burned caramel, roasted malt, nuts and a whiff of yeast. Lightly bitter finish. Not overly exciting but well crafted. 221009

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark amber with a small tan head. Aroma is cardemomme spiced, yeasty and roasted malt - slightly like brunkager - speculatius cookies. Hoppy and fruity flavoured, light orange peel note too this. Lingering spiced from back of the tongue - again a rather biscuits note to it. Ends fruity, spiced, light sweet and bitter.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a thick and creamy head, light tan in colour. Aroma is mild spiced, roasted and vague orange peel fruity. Roasted malt flavoured, light chocolate and caramelish - going into a light spiced dryness and herbal note from back of the tongue. Vague fruity and mild citric note. Light bitterness and lingering sweet malty tone into the far finish. Light yeasty note.

Bottle at EsBF09. Mild grassy aroma, a bit citric maltiness. Hazy dark amber colour. Almost no head. The flavour has some malt, a little caramel. The bitterness is quite harsh, campari bitterness, quinine, tonic water. Not my kind of bitterness.

EsBF09. Mild malty aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Very small off-white head. Malty flavour, not really sugary. Well-balanced. A bit roasted with a faint hint of yeast. OK Belgian type.

Bottle. Poured brown with an amber orangish hue and an off-white head. Aroma was full of malts leading to sweet notes of grain and caramel with an undertone of alcohol. Flavor was sweet as well with notes of grain and caramel.
