33cl bottle @ HJ Hansen, Odense. Pours pitch black with a small stable creamy brown head and lacings. Nose and taste is perfectly combined and balanced. Roasted coffee, chocolate, hops and liquorice. Smooth and very soft. Sticky, vinous and oily. Long finish. Extremely tasty. Closer to 4,1 than 3,9.

Bottle. A hazy orange beer with some floaties. The head is looking nice, two finger thick and off-white, but collapsing rather quickly. Leaves lacings though. The aroma has a stale fruityness, syrupy sweetness and some alcohol. Alcohol and fruit syrup is dominating the flavor too, with peach and pineapple doing most of the fruityness. Warming, sticky and full-bodied. Sweet, fruity and warming finish. Too warm, too sweet and too sticky, and not much resemblance to a doppelbock. Still, not bad at all. 090707

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt and spices. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of exotic fruit and spices on a malty back ground.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of spices - strongest is cinnamon, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet and very spicy - cloves, cinnamon and more, the whole spice shelf has been dropped in this one, but also with some malt accents. The spices makes the finish dry.

Bottled (BB 08/2009). Hazy orange-amber color, tiny white head. Strong aroma of anise and berries. Medium-bodied. Anise, licorice, strawberry, herbs. Quick finish, light spicey aftertaste. Very odd beer.

Bottled. Hazy deep goldeny orange colour with small beige head. Aroma is bigtime anis, wood, some sweet malts as well as mild spicy notes. Flavour is bigtime liquorice (something the anis mixes in with to get to liquoricelike stuff), spices, sweet malts, quite much fruityness Usually I don’t like anis in my beer, but in this one the brewers have managed to mix it in quite well.

Bottle 33 cl. Hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Perfumy coriander nose. Medium body, sweet fruits and spices with a surprisingly herbal bitterness - mugwort? 130809
