Had this at European Beer festival 13-09-08 Pours a hazy golden amber, quite soft in the mouth. Some anise on the nose, tasty but leafy in the mouth, not bad.

Bottled@EBF2008. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, fruits, mild alcohol and some apricot. Flavour is fruits, yeast and some mild sweet wood.

Medium white head. Hazy yellow body. Citric mealy aroma with yeasty notes. Dry-sweet yeasty citric fruity taste with apple notes. Fizzy mouthfeel. Dryish flour aftertaste of oranges. It’s not bad, but could easily be a lot better if they just filled it out a bit. (0.1l taster draft at EBF ’08.)

Big shiny light beige lasting head. Hazy amber body. Yeasty dried fruit aroma with dusty malty notes with some apple and grain. Dry-sweet malty fruity taste, rather full, with notes of dates and apples. Dryish spicy malty aftertaste with fruity notes. Fizzy mouthfeel. (0.1l taster draft at EBF ’08.)

Small light beige head does not last. Hazy amber body. Yeasty spicy wheaty aroma with herbal notes. Dry-sweet malty wheaty yeasty taste with fruity herbal notes and some cloves. Quite nice. (0.1l taster draft at EBF ’08.)

Small offwhite head does not last. Slightly hazy amber body. Light aroma of raisins. Dry-sweet malty straw and raisins taste with chalky yeasty notes. Quite refreshing, but a bit fizzy. (0.1l taster draft at EBF ’08.)

Draught at EBF08. Spicy clovey aroma. Cloudy dark orange colour. Spicy flavour, some wheat, clove, caramel. Vinous wheat aftertaste.

Draught No head left, slightly hazy orange-yellow beer. Again a weird spicing. Cloves, and some salt-loving weed. Lots of dextrines, liquorice, esters à gogo. Medium bodied, bit dead ending. HAMBURG??? WAY too sweet, estery....

Hazy orange with tiny beige head. Sweet yeasty aroma with fruity notes. Sweet flavour with ripe fruits, caramel and toasted malt. Ends sweet.

Draught Hazy amber: small yellow head. Sweet cake and spicy wood, some resin. Starting very good with resin, then tumbles down to rosewater. First impression is heaven, at the end it is just dead. Sickly palate, way too many restsugars, not even fruity. Weird. Then again, with such a name...
