On tap at Dark Lord Day 2012. Chocolate malt and ash aroma. Black/brown with a small tan head. Chocolate, coffee, ash flavor with a roasted bitter finish. Smooth full body. Solid predictable stout.

04/04/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Nerissima, densa, impenetrabile, con abbondante schiuma crespa color grigio-senape, mediamente persistente. Aroma delicato di malti tostati, cioccolatoso e caffettoso. In bocca è di una eleganza notevole, dolce (cioccolato, vaniglia) quindi caffè, appena più amara sul finale. Birra splendida, di ottima beva e splendido equilibrio. Tra le migliori stout mai assaggiate.

Tap @ Avery, doing the 10th Annual Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Pours dark reddish brown with offwhite head. Aroma os malty, toast, caramel, fruity, cherries. Taste is malt, caramel, toast, wood, pine, peach. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. 090312

Boulder Strong Ale Fest. Hazy red orange appearance with a tan head. Rich, sweet caramel, a touch spicy aroma. Somewhat fruity, rich caramel/toffee flavor that’s a bit sweet but still tasty.

On tap. Pours with a nearly black hued body with a tan head that lasts. Aromas are nutty, coffee, toffee, roast, caramel. Dry and lightly raisiny. Flavors are roasty, coffee, toffee, currant, fudge, and dark fruits. Biscuity and caramel. Creamy carbonation, fuller bodied, smooth and lightly warming. Very good, but not quite the masterpiece that is Bacon & Eggs!

Growler shared by Alex, thanks! Pours a clear deep orange with an amber hue and an off-white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is extremely dank with notes of fresh pine, marijuana and fresh skunk. Flavor is similar with a lot of pine and marijuana and a fresh skunk smell underlying.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours with a crystal clear yellow body with a small white head. Aromas are floral, estery, fruity with mild phenols, sage, coriander, clove. Flowery. Flavors are pretty yeasty for a "belgian pale ale" if it claims to be to style. Lots of phenol, clove and coriander character. Bubblegum and banana. Very lively bubbles, nice bready malt, medium bitterness, dry.

On tap at the source. Pours with what appears to be nitro. Creamy tan head, very deep brown body. Aromas are roasty, dry, bitter, chocolate and light leather. Flavors are very smooth, clean, creamy, oatmeal, dry chocolate. Very creamy carbonation, light bodied. Pleasant.

On tap at the source. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a small, just off-white head (not sure why). Aromas are lightly sweet, floral, bready and grainy. Flavors have a slight salinity to them, straw, corn, bready, a bit sweet. Very lively carbonation masks a slightly thin body. Very respectable cream ale.

On tap at the source. Pours with a clear copper to bronze hued body with a lasting off-white head. Great lace. Aromas of caramel, nuts, esters, fruit, light roast and hops. Aromas are very fruity. Oddly so. Light diacetyl, very sweet, caramel, lightly hoppy, fruit. Really sweet (nearly a stressed yeast flavor). Lively bubbles. Thick.
