Taste is slightly harsh grainy, weeds, old hay, minerals, dried grain, paper, bark, grass, cereal. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh grainy mouthfeel. Meh!

Sampled at Gunnfryds Barmy Army New Year’s ticker party 2017. Unclear yellow golden body with a small white head. Weak aroma with hint of malt and grassy hops. Flavor is light pale malt, some green apple, slightly harsh, light grassy bitterness. Medium to thin bodied and weak aftertaste. Easy to drink, rather ordinary pilsner.

Bottle. A lightly hazy golden colored beer with a small, off-white head. The aroma is lightly grassy, with some pale malts and a touch of hay and some pine cones. It’s dry and medium body, with a nice carbonation level. Pale malt notes, pine cones, grass and a resiny touch in the flavor, nice bitterness too. Bitter, piney finish. Not bad for a pilsner this one. 170107

Flaske fra Gulating Haugesund, hjemme: brunsvart med højt beige skum som oppfører seg helt eksemplarisk til siste slurk - gardin og tett film. Fin aroma av mørkbrent kaffe, mørk sjokolade og røstet malt. Rund og fyldig smak av det samme, men litt overkarbonert - de beste smaksinntrykkene får jeg helt mot slutten. Fint balansert, verken for tørr eller for søt. Lett å like, lett å drikke. Skal prøve flere fra dette nye bryggeriet!

Gylden brun klar med høyt beige skum. Lukter trevirke, nøtter og karamell. Noe moden ananas som eneste som minner meg om apa. Men likevel en god lukt. Mer ananas i smak, lett kort bitterhet. Sødmen er mot malt og fudge. Malten dominirer på denne, savner humlepreget til en apa.

Fra fat på Bryggerifestivalen i Trondheim 5 Aug 16. Stråfarget. Lavt skum med teppelacing. Bra maltaroma. Smaken er skarp maltig med en tørr avslutning.
