Cask (gravity) @ 32th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2015, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As Billericay Black Christmas ].Clear dark brown color with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, moderate hoppy, woody hops, light pine. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt, fruity, light pine. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151202] 6-3-7-3-14

Chelmsford Winter Beer Fest (with Rune, Rasmus, Saxo and Camons) @ KEGS. Cask. Clear amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has low carbonation. Light dry malts, not sweet. Tangy ripe fruits. Light dry finish. Tired, dry and ripe. Not great.

Gravicask, third at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Off-white, bubbly head. Dark brown body. Minimal lacing. Spiced malty nose. Brown malty flavours with hints of fruits, overrun by the chilli part. Quite possible to drink in smaller amounts. Last drink of the evening (15.02.2017).

Gravicask, third at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. A decent beige bubbly head covering a black-brownish body. Lacing rings down the glass. Dark bread on the nose, hints of chocolate. Malt-accented flavours with a backdrop of dark fruits. Mild roasted malty finish. Well blended and not too thin bodied (15.02.2017).

500ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with small to average, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Weak, roasty dark malty aroma with a touch of coffee surrogate, liquorice, rubber. Taste is roasty dark malty, hints of liquorice and rubber, a touch of lovage. Slightly watery, monotonous, anaemic.
