0.5 l bottle from 'Superbrugsen' (Ringkøbing), best before June 2022 (bought just a week ago). Minimally hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly herbal and moderately fruity aroma of honey, sultanas, lavender, pine and thyme. Gently sweet, malty, hardly bitter, slightly herbal and moderately fruity taste of honey, grains, thyme, pine and aome lavender, followed by a short, minimally bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Interesting beer, would have been even more interesting if the pine flavours were stronger.

0.5 l bottle from 'Superbrugsen', best before July 2022. Almost clear, deep amber with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity aroma of caramel, raisins, prunes and vanilla. Quite sweet, malty, gently fruity taste of caramel, vanilla, raisins, prunes and even light cognac, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Pleasant beer, fairly untypical for a steam beer, almost like an old ale, very rich and malty, nicely fruity as well. Nice surprise!

Bottle bought at Sevel. Pours clear amber with almost no head. Distinct aroma of diacetyl, some citrussy and caramel notes. Tastes slightly sweet with very little bitterness. Medium bodied. This is a bad beer (best before date 2023-05-13). If you want to know how diacetyl tastes and smells, try it, else stay away.

Bottle @ Jakobs. Pours very dark brown with a creamy light tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, light chocolate, dark sugar. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, dusty, grainy, sugar. Thin body, average carbonation, light sweet finish. 301221

--Sample, thanks fonefan!-- Hazy pale amber, no head. Medicinal honey aroma. Very sweet with medium to full body and clean mouthfeel. Intensely boozy, with floral honey, pine and gin. Alcohol burn dominate the finish.

ABV: 15.0%. Clear medium orange colour with virtually head. Aroma is moderate honey, flowers, grass, woody, earthy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, woody, hone, bread - oxidide, grass, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20220108]
