16 ounce can. Jet black color with a matching foamy dark brown head. Roasted malt aroma is slightly subdued. Hints of cassia bark (earthy cinnamon), vanilla and dried berries. Wow, an intense burst of sweet roasted malt, bittersweet cocoa, cinnamon and treacle. Viscous, sticky mouthfeel. Very lightly carbonated. Notes of black licorice, chai tea and cardamom. 12% ABV is well hidden in the layers of flavor. A dark and mysterious brew.

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a glowing, hazy straw gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates. Dank, earthy mineral aromas with pineapple, herbal notes and pith all present on the nose. Dry on the palate (classic Narrow Gauge) with more citrus pith, herbal and earthy flavors. Low to medium bitterness on the palate with peppercorn, pith and dank citrus. Really nice.

16 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. Beautiful can that just looks like something I would buy, and that brings us to now. First impressions when pouring is, well, it is definitely a hazy. Dense orange juice haze, creamy appearance, thick overcast foam head. Really smooth taste here, full of juicy, flavorful citrus hops. I see shining contributions from both Citra and Galaxy. I'd like to think I would have been able to identify the dynamic duo here in a blind tasting. Extreme refreshment. The kind of IPA that reminds me of sunny days, and ball games. Sadly ball games are existing only in memory as I drink this fantastic brew. Perhaps someday soon I will be able to enjoy my favorite pairing ever, being baseball and beers. When that day comes, I hope beers like this are sitting at the local bottle shop coolers waiting. Awesome!

Can from Holiday Market. Pours a thick, viscous pitch black with a finger of brown foam that lingers. Big, full bodied thicc stout aromas with coffee, oats, cacao nib and fudge brownie aromas....roasted malt as it warms. Molasses, liquid fudge brownie, booze and faint coconut on the palate. Big and chewy stout with a full body. Big, bold and beautiful stout. This would be great in a barrel that's for sure.
