Vinous honey aroma, strong and hot. Clear amber almost copper, still. Thick, syrupy, and very sweet. It has "mead lacing", which unlike beer is a not a good sign, IMHO. Vinous initially, but the honey flavor barges in and eliminates any trace of grape wine. Alcohol content high and obvious, excessive for my delicate palate. Too strong and sweet to detect any nuance or complexity. The Manishewitz of mead. People love it, but I find it off balance and overdone.

Bottle label was Braggot pours out a golden brown if that is possible topped with a cream head. Aroma was honey, spice, and some malts. Taste was more of the honey, malts and a little pit fruit. When I think mead this one doesn’t come close. I guess once you have had Apis Jadwiga your mead mind is set. At lease mine is.
