bottle bought from vinbørsen. clear brown amber, no head. nice mild mead aroma with of course honey, also some marcipan, faint berries. flavor is blue berries, honey, flowers. Alc is warming. Very well tasting mead, good balance between the very slighly citrussy , and quite flowery berries, and the sweet honey. Definetly one of the best meads i’ve tasted.

I just don’t get meads, what beers do you know that are near 20%? From a bottle at Vintage Estates, such a nice place; 6 - 2oz samples of mead for $15, tax included. Looks like pale lager. Sweet honey flavors but laid back compared to klapojster. Oily and winelike of course. Smell is rather like leather and light. Cannot taste advertised hops.

I just don’t get meads, what beers do you know that are near 20%? From a bottle at Vintage Estates, such a nice place; 6 - 2oz samples of mead for $15, tax included. Perhaps a slight haze on an otherwise plae lager appearance. Smell of honey of course. Quite strong initial flavors, alky wise. Pleasant burn abd a little fun, for a mead. Winelike at times. thick and quite viscous. Not bad overall. A slight bitter linger on the finish which is unexpected.

Bottle, 14.8%. Soapy aroma, a bit of alcohol. Not as pleasant as expected. Almost clear dark red colour. Rough woody flavour, herbal with a little fruit. Tastes more of bjæsk than mead.

I taste and smell lots of ginger. Light sweet with honey. Some astringency on the palate. No carbonation, and a light copper color.

Bottle thanks to eric. Thick deep golden body and strong legs. Aroma is minty with hibiscus, eucalyptus, alcohol and various german schnapps. Taste is alcohol, earthy, herbal, hibiscus and tobacco. Big. Despite liking this, I think I had a bit of an allergic reaction to it as some of my fellow tasters noticed my face go from normal colored to a bright red with in 30 seconds of the first sip. Maybe I have a problem with hibiscus.
