2010-05-06, tasting at Yespr, 6-3-7-3-14=33
Reddish hazy color. The aroma shows some almonds. Nice delicate honey flavor, sweet, with luckily just hints of blueberry. Good
2009-11-30, corked bottle, 7-3-6-3-13=32
Red color. Light aroma of blueberries and alcohol. Medium body strength and sweetness; the blueberries marry quite well the mead, but there is also a light dusty feeling. Average.

Bottled. A deep red mead. The aroma has strong notes of honey as well as some notes of blueberries, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of honey and caramel, as well as medium notes of blueberries, and alcohol leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Warming nicely. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear red. Very berry-like aroma - almost redwineish - with only vague honey accents. Medium body, a little sloppy and unrefined, berry accents and subdued honey notes. Weird edge of ashes. A really strange mead and not overly convincing. 301109

Bottle from Bottle Trek. Pours a hazy ruby orange with a three-finger off-white head. Aroma is rather malt and honey. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is sweet dark malt, something spicely like ginger (duh -that’s on the label), and then a darkish honey. Finishes less than dry. Interesting though.

Bottled. Dark goldeny orange colour, no head. Aroma is lots of fruits, nectar, honey and sweet wooden notes. Also some alcohol and herbal notes. Flavour is quite much the same along with some rather woodenbarrel notes and mild spicyness also. Burning spicy and alcoholic finish. Whoa!
