ceramic bottle. pours orange, no head. aroma of honey, apricot and faint alc. flavor is slightly cellary, almost as if the ceramic bottle could be tasted. honey, mouldy, sweet, spices, something resembling but not quite apricot. ends bitter from the alc. what i call mouldy might actually be some spices, herbs. probably is.

Golden-amber. Still. Flowery, spicy, slightly gingery aroma. Very sweet, spicy, herbal, floral...complex. Surprisingly refreshing for such a rich, thick mead. Fun stuff.

Bottle labeled Old Danish Braggot. Not a good one. Pours with a large, foamy, off-white head and a hazy orange body. Great lacing. The good attributes end there. Aroma of candied sugar, ammonia, honey, flowers and some dark fruits. Taste is pungent and rotten with honey, ginger, astringency, pickled vegetables, and wine. Light bubbles. Bad recipe.

Bottle. Color is clear golden. Aroma and taste are rich and warming with a nice balance between alcohol and honny.

Corked bottle
Hazy light amber color, with a persistent perlage that supports a generous head. The aroma shows a soapy mead character, later some herbs too, and honey. The flavor is sweet, but the bitterness of the beer clashes with the mead; and in the flavor too the herbal touch is disturbing. Controversial.

Bottle at EBF 08. Honey, bit musty on aroma. That is just hugely intense. Honey and nougaty nut. It’s good, sweet as hell, but with a good alcohol burn. Smooth, smooth raisin fruit. 3.2/5.0 Re-rate Bottle at the Spotify tasting. Honey nuts and nougat. Bit of alcohol, bit of peach/dried fruits. I rather like it, quite refined, quite sweet, but not over the top, bit of nice smokeyness.
