Bottled@RBESG Grand Tasting 2008
Slightly hazy orange color, small off-white head. Spicey ginger aroma, maybe slightly honeyish. A bit fizzy, honeyish mead-like flavor. Some earthyness. Alcohol in the finish. "Easier" to drink than a normal mjod.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Malts meets quite much honeyish and nectary sweetness in both the aroma and flavour. Also some slightly fruity hints. A bit like a mix of mead and beer.

RBESG08 grand tasting Mead!? Ok, that might explain some things... Haty gold colour, thick white head. Fruity honeyish malty nose. Extremely sweet taste, fruity, honey, artificial lemon juice. Odd, just odd.

Bottle, 75cl corked, thx to fonefan. A clear, reddish brown beverage with a minimal beige head. Sweetish and malty, with something at least reminiscent of oxidation, some alcohol and a touch of mead in the background. Slighlty honeyish flavor with heather and some alcohol. A little roasted note too. Full-bodied, warming and slightly sticky mouthfeel. The finish is roasted with dried fruits, alcohol-notes and a touch of something reminiscent of chocolate. An odd, warming drink that was nice, but nothing you finish by yourselves. (080412)

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Light oxidised malt aroma, dense. Flavour is sweet fruity with a light oxidised note. A bit cloying. Fruity and malt flavoured. Ends with a lingering honey herbal note - this may be the source of the oxidised like flavour I assume. Too sweet for my liking.
