About
Stiegl is a private brewery with a long tradition. For more than 525 years, sustainability, regionality, local added value and above all the quality of our beers and services have been our top priority. However, this quality is only possible because we only use the best local raw materials. The values to which we have been committed since the brewery was founded in 1492 have made us Austria's leading private brewery.

The brewery's success is inextricably linked to the name "Kiener". The brewery has been owned by the Kiener family for more than 120 years. Since 1990 Heinrich Dieter Kiener (III) is at the helm of the company.

Bottle from Ribafish, who graciously shared it with us, after bringing it from the brewery! Hazy golden body, off-white head. Meaty, yeasty aroma with gin herbal notes. Smooth, flowery, honeyish taste, some rosemary and juniper, citric ntoes. Actually... quite a pleasant beer after a sub par aroma! Fun, unique concept too!

Bottle. Golden color with white head. Aroma of malt, floral, herbal, grassy hops. Taste starts malty, quickly overlapped by clear hoppy kick with mainly herbal and grassy hops. Medium long hoppy bitter finish. Good.

Bottlw from Stiegl shop in Salzburg. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Floral hop, citrus notes. Taste: Very hoppy, floral, grassy and subtle orange and lime notes. Moderate sweet and over moderate bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Although not that special for a beer geek, it's a nice one, especially in between all those typical Austrian / German styles I've had the last week.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear pale yellow with a white head. Aroma of pretty much nothing. Medium body, some malt, a little cardboard and some bitterness to the finish. A slightly hoppy Pale Lager is what it is. Kinda embarrassing to sell it under a name suggesting it’s a Helles. It’s not. 180723

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear raspberry red with a pinkish head. Not the cleanest raspberry aroma. Thin body, very sweet raspberry notes, making it somewhat sticky. Way more soda pop than beer. 150723
