Draught. Pours deep ruby to brown, off-white head od medium plus size. Low retention. Caramel, toasted malts, fruit esters, light yeast on nose. Light body. Medium dry to medium sweet taste. Malty. Lots of caramel, fruit, yeast again. Low to light bitterness. It is really reminiscent of an Irish ale. And it is drinkable enough.

Draught. Clear golden colour. Small white head. Low retention. The aroma is sourish, with a little sign of infection. Boiled vegetables. Grains. Tastes pretty much the same way. Light body. Virtually no hops. Poor effort.

500ml on tap from Bochka in Moscow, poured into a PET at the store, and then into a pilsner glass because I wasn’t sure of the style. A tap-only release as far as I can tell. Pours hazy yellow with a lasting medium-sized white head. Aroma is lemon zest, orange Fanta, butterscotch, vanilla. Taste is wheat, cereal, citrus, light bitterness. I’m not really a fan of these artificial smelling and tasting ex-Soviet wits.
