Description

0,33l from bottle, shared by the gf, bought at Astral Beers, Bologna. Vintage 2013. dark brown / reddish color, small tan head. smells of spices, peppery, some grapes, nutty, marzipan, some malty sweetness, light wood. good smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of alcohol, nutty, marzipan, light dried fruits, grapes, some wood, almost no sourness, in fact I would call it acidic instead of sour. finishes lightly dry and acidic with noticeable alcohol, some dried fruits and some nuts. overall good one, a bit too booze, not a sour beer in any way.

25 cl bottle @ home, produced 10/2010
Aroma has raisins, alcogol, licorice and anise. Sugary sweet and candy-like. Flavour has rather strong and spicy tones. Some non-disturbing alcohol and mild solvent, a bit messy too. Mild cardboardish vibes in the finish telling the age of this sample.
And to brianza_ale: don’t you underestimate the power of veliemboys! ;-)

37,5 cl bottle @ home. Bottled 2013, batch L 13
Fizzing noises already when removing the vax. Opened the cap and gusher it was – not the most aggressive one though. Aroma is tart with currant juice, red wine, sweet berries and some balsamico. Flavour is tart with currant juice, red wine, vinegar and some sweet fruit juice tones. The rhum is barely observable, perhaps it is the fruity sweetness here. Not my thing.
